I went here today to zero my rifle. I haven't shot a scoped rifle in 30 years. I am retired USMC from active duty. I was rusty. Very rusty. My first 3 shots at 50 yards were not on paper. Rick the RSO asked to assist me with my zero and I said I'm getting acquainted with my baby but what I really meant was my pride won't let another person help me. Especially with my weapon because I'm a Marine and I'm suppose to know this. Well after my next miss I allowed Rick to help. He took the bolt out. Lined up the barrell. Tweeted the vintage and elevation. Twice. Without even looking at the reticle through the scope. Then said, try it out now. Not only was I on paper after a few more adjustment I was shooting 1/2 " groups. Just wanted to say Rick and Jim are awesome RSO's and I am very happy they are there. Great job Rick and Jim!!

The crew at Flatwoods are an amazing group of people. They have everything you need for all your outdoor adventures be it archery or guns. They are very helpful at the range and in the store. I took a gun to them to help me decern what was wrong with my 9mm and they were able to solve the problem in minutes and repaired it just a few minutes. Rick and David are great at helping me sight in my 22cal, 38cal, and everything up to my AR 15 and my 30.06.

I trust them with all my sport and hunting weapons and they do it with a great respect for the shooter and the weapon.

I've visited Flatwoods shooting range three times in the past few weeks to zero both iron sights and optics. Each visit has been great. The range is very safe - the rules are no different than other ranges I've visited. Although I've been shooting for many years, during each visit I've learned something new from Rick, the Range Safety Officer. No matter whether it pertains to firearms, optics, ammo, ballistics or reloading, it seems that Rick has an educated answer. Shooting is a serious sport, but it is also supposed to be enjoyable and social. I've found that to be the case at Flatwoods. In the future, I'm sure I'll be there at the range quite often.
