The mission for Salty Sistas was to source local food supplies to support small businesses and to our desire of incorporating Lobster, from Maine, into our dishes. Family-owned and operated, at Salty Sistas we take pride in giving back to important causes and communities.
“I associate family and love with food, especially Italian food. It just brings you together.” Georgitis said in the Facebook video. “When I originally started this, there were some people involved in my life who really pushed me towards making it seafood based. It wasn’t my complete passion but owning a restaurant and a food truck was definitely a passion of mine. I think I’m at a point in my life now where I’m making all my own decisions and Italian is my passion and Italian is Kristin’s passion. You put the two of us together and the dishes that are going to come out of that kitchen, I think they’re going to amaze you.”
Our menu is a collection of our family favorites. From our lobster, sourced from Maine, to our shrimp, sourced from local seafood company's, we aspire to add techniques and flavors from our roots into every dish.
We source our seafood from The Shrimp Lady, NC Crab Company, Pamlico Packing Co., and Davis Seafood. We receive our eggs from the local Hometown Harvest and we source some of our meats from Johnson Family Farms.
